Target Information

Mouse receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE) is a 45 kDa multi-ligand pattern-recognition receptor that targets high-mobility group box 1, S100/calgranulins and AGE-modified proteins, activating NF-κB and MAPK cascades to propagate oxidative stress and inflammation. Its extracellular V-type Ig domain presents a unique, species-restricted epitope ideal for antibody generation; anti-RAGE immunoreagents detect membrane-bound and soluble forms in lung, vasculature and inflamed tissues without cross-reacting with other Ig-superfamily receptors, providing a precise read-out of chronic inflammatory and metabolic signaling.
