Specifications
Target Information
Mouse quiescin Q6 sulfhydryl oxidase 1 (QSOX1) is a 82-kDa secreted/transmembrane oxidoreductase ubiquitously expressed in murine tissues, with enriched levels in secretory organs (liver, pancreas) and tumor microenvironments. It catalyzes disulfide bond formation in proteins, supporting protein folding, secretion, and extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. Critical for murine embryonic development, tissue repair, and cellular redox homeostasis, it modulates pathways involved in cell migration, adhesion, and ECM integrity. Dysregulated expression associates with fibrosis, cancer progression, and neurodegeneration in mouse models, as aberrant disulfide bond formation disrupts protein function. As a key mediator of protein maturation and redox signaling, mouse QSOX1 is a critical target for studying fibrotic pathobiology, cancer metastasis, and oxidoreductase-targeted therapeutics.
