Target Information
Mouse programmed cell death protein 1 ligand 2 (PD-L2) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the B7 family, a key mediator of T cell immune regulation. It features a conserved extracellular IgV-IgC domain structure, a single transmembrane segment, and a short cytoplasmic tail critical for structural stability and cell surface anchoring. It localizes to the cell membranes of mouse dendritic cells, macrophages and activated B cells, with negligible levels in resting lymphocytes and non-immune tissues. The protein mediates PD-1 binding and T cell activation suppression, with conserved motifs for receptor interaction and immune checkpoint signaling. Mouse PD-L2 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct expression patterns differentiating it from PD-L1.
