Target Information
Mouse Preprovasopressin is the precursor protein for vasopressin, a hormone involved in water balance and blood pressure regulation. It is synthesized in the hypothalamus and processed into active vasopressin, which acts on the kidneys to promote water reabsorption and on blood vessels to induce vasoconstriction. Preprovasopressin also gives rise to neurophysin II, a carrier protein for vasopressin. Its expression and processing are tightly regulated to maintain osmotic balance and cardiovascular homeostasis. Preprovasopressin is an important target for studying neuroendocrine function and related physiological processes in mouse models.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
