Target Information

Mouse PLTP is a secreted lipid-transfer glycoprotein equipped with conserved lipid-binding pocket domains that maintain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It is secreted mainly by hepatic and adipose cell populations and circulates within interstitial fluid and bloodstream. Its soluble lipid-transporting structural features and broad metabolic tissue distribution distinguish it from plasma membrane receptors, cytoplasmic signaling adaptors and intranuclear transcriptional regulators with streamlined single-domain assemblies and static single-compartment subcellular localization profiles.
