Target Information
Mouse phospholipase A2 receptor 1 (PLA2R1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by the Pla2r1 gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 1. It belongs to the mannose receptor family, featuring conserved cysteine-rich domains, multiple fibronectin type III repeats and a C-terminal cytoplasmic tail. It localizes to cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in mouse kidney, lung, spleen and liver, with low levels in muscle and neural tissues. The protein mediates ligand binding and endocytosis, with conserved motifs critical for carbohydrate recognition and structural stability. Mouse PLA2R1 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct ligand specificity differentiating it from other mannose receptor family members.
