Target Information
Mouse phosphoglycolate phosphatase (PGP) is a widely expressed cytosolic phosphatase with a conserved catalytic domain and metal-binding motif for structural stability. It distributes broadly in somatic tissues and localizes mainly to the cytoplasm. The protein forms a stable monomeric fold with a well-defined active pocket for substrate recognition. Its compact tertiary structure and catalytic features clearly distinguish it from other small-molecule phosphatases.
