Specifications
Target Information
Mouse NLR family, pyrin domain containing protein 3 (NLRP3) is an intracellular pattern recognition receptor of the NLR superfamily. It features a conserved N-terminal pyrin domain, a central nucleotide-binding and oligomerization domain (NOD), and a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region critical for structural integrity. It localizes to cytoplasm and endosomal membranes, with tissue-specific expression in mouse macrophages, neutrophils and dendritic cells, with negligible levels in non-immune tissues. The protein mediates inflammasome assembly and signal transduction, with conserved motifs for protein-protein interaction. Mouse NLRP3 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct ligand specificity differentiating it from NLRP1 and NLRP6.
