Target Information
Mouse Matrix Metalloproteinase 10 (MMP10), also known as stromelysin-2, is a zinc-dependent endopeptidase involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix components. It cleaves various substrates, including fibronectin, laminin, and proteoglycans, and plays a role in tissue remodeling, tumor invasion, and metastasis. MMP10 is synthesized as a latent proenzyme and activated by proteolytic processing. In mouse models, MMP10 is implicated in processes such as wound healing, tumor progression, and inflammation.
