Mouse macrophage inflammatory protein-3 beta (MIP-3β, also CCL19) is a 9.2 kDa CC chemokine expressed constitutively in thymus, lymph nodes and activated stroma. It targets the CCR7 receptor on dendritic cells, central-memory T cells and antigen-engaged B cells, guiding their chemotaxis into secondary lymphoid organs and coordinating immune surveillance. Its N-terminal loop presents a unique, species-restricted epitope ideal for antibody generation; anti-MIP-3β immunoreagents detect both soluble and membrane-bound forms in serum, lymph-node homogenates and inflamed tissues without cross-reacting with CCL17 or CCL22, providing a precise read-out of Th17 cell recruitment and inflammatory signaling .
