Target Information
Mouse endothelial lipase (LIPG) is an enzyme that plays a key role in lipid metabolism, particularly in the hydrolysis of phospholipids and triglycerides in lipoproteins. It is predominantly expressed in endothelial cells, where it contributes to the regulation of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels and cholesterol transport. LIPG is involved in the remodeling of HDL particles and can influence the development of atherosclerosis. This enzyme is also implicated in inflammatory responses and may affect endothelial cell function during inflammatory conditions.
