Target Information

Mouse killer cell lectin like receptor subfamily K, member 1 (KLRK1) is a type II transmembrane C-type lectin receptor expressed mainly on natural killer cells and T lymphocytes. It contains an extracellular carbohydrate-recognition domain, a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic tail involved in signal transduction. This protein localizes to the plasma membrane and forms stable functional complexes on immune cell surfaces. Its unique domain structure and immune-specific expression distinguish it from other lectin-like receptor family members.
