Target Information
Mouse Ki-67 protein (MKi67) is a 359-kDa nuclear antigen expressed exclusively in proliferating mouse cells-from G1 phase through mitosis, with absence in quiescent (G0) cells. It localizes to chromatin and nucleoli, regulating cell cycle progression by facilitating chromatin condensation and mitotic spindle assembly. As a definitive marker of cellular proliferation, it is widely used to assess tissue proliferation rates in murine models of cancer, development, and tissue repair. Dysregulated expression correlates with tumor aggressiveness, metastasis, and poor prognosis in mouse tumor models. As a specific indicator of proliferative activity, mouse Ki-67 is a critical target for studying cell cycle biology, cancer progression, and anti-proliferative therapeutic efficacy.
