Target Information
Mouse interleukin 4 receptor (IL-4R) is a transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by the Il4r gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 7. It belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family, featuring an extracellular ligand-binding domain with conserved cytokine receptor homology regions, a single transmembrane segment and an intracellular signaling domain. It localizes to cell membrane, with ubiquitous expression in mouse immune cells and enrichment in B lymphocytes, T cells, macrophages and mast cells, with low levels in non-immune tissues. The protein mediates intracellular signal cascade initiation upon ligand binding, with conserved motifs critical for dimerization and activation. Mouse IL-4R shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct binding specificity differentiating it from other cytokine receptor family members.
