Target Information

Mouse IL-13 is a cytokine produced primarily by activated T cells, particularly Th2 cells. It shares significant functional overlap with IL-4 and plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses. IL-13 binds to the IL-13 receptor α1 chain and the IL-4 receptor α chain, mediating signaling pathways that promote B cell proliferation, IgE production, and mucus secretion. It is also involved in the regulation of inflammatory responses and tissue remodeling, particularly in allergic diseases and fibrosis.
