Target Information
Mouse interleukin 12 receptor beta 1 (IL-12Rβ1) is a transmembrane glycoprotein encoded by the Il12rb1 gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 7. It belongs to the class I cytokine receptor family, featuring conserved extracellular fibronectin type-III domains, a single transmembrane segment and an intracellular domain critical for signal propagation. It localizes to cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in mouse T lymphocytes, natural killer cells and macrophages, with minimal levels in non-immune tissues. The protein forms heterodimeric receptor complexes, with conserved motifs for ligand binding and structural stability. Mouse IL-12Rβ1 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct binding specificity differentiating it from IL-12Rβ2 and other cytokine receptors.
