Target Information
Mouse interferon-inducible T-cell alpha chemoattractant (I-TAC, CXCL11) is a 10-kDa CXC chemokine predominantly expressed in mouse epithelial cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells upon interferon (IFN-α/γ) stimulation. It binds to CXCR3 receptors on activated T cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and dendritic cells, mediating their recruitment to inflammatory sites. Critical for murine type I/II immune responses, it regulates antiviral defense, antitumor immunity, and autoimmune inflammation by orchestrating T-cell trafficking and activation. Dysregulated expression associates with viral infections, autoimmune diseases (e.g., lupus, multiple sclerosis), and tumor immune infiltration in mice. As a key mediator of IFN-driven immune cell recruitment, mouse I-TAC is a critical target for studying inflammatory immunobiology, antiviral therapeutics, and cancer immunotherapy.
