Target Information
Mouse IFNb is a type I interferon that plays a crucial role in the innate immune response against viral infections. It is produced by various cell types, particularly fibroblasts and macrophages, in response to viral invasion. IFNb exerts its antiviral effects by binding to the IFNa/β receptor complex, activating the JAK-STAT signaling pathway, and inducing the expression of interferon-stimulated genes (ISGs). This cytokine also has immunomodulatory and antiproliferative properties, contributing to immune regulation and cancer suppression.
