Target Information
Mouse Grb2 associated binding protein 3 (GAB3) is an intracellular adaptor protein encoded by the Gab3 gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome X. It belongs to the GAB adaptor protein family, featuring conserved N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain, multiple tyrosine phosphorylation sites and SH2-binding motifs critical for signal assembly. It localizes to cytoplasm and cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in mouse myeloid cells, macrophages and mast cells, with low levels in epithelial and neuronal tissues. The protein mediates receptor-proximal signal transduction, with conserved motifs for protein interaction and activation. Mouse GAB3 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct tissue distribution differentiating it from GAB1, GAB2 and other family members.
