Target Information
Mouse GRB2 associated binding protein 2 (GAB2) is a cytoplasmic adapter protein of the GAB family. It features conserved N-terminal pleckstrin homology domain, multiple tyrosine phosphorylation sites and C-terminal Src homology 2-binding motifs critical for signal relay. It localizes to cell cytoplasm and membrane ruffles, with tissue-specific expression in mouse immune cells, brain and hematopoietic tissues, with minimal levels in epithelial and muscle tissues. The protein mediates intermolecular signaling complex assembly, with conserved motifs for protein interaction and structural stability. Mouse GAB2 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct binding specificity differentiating it from GAB1 and GAB3.
