Mouse Glypican 1 is a GPI-anchored heparan sulfate proteoglycan that modulates growth-factor signaling at the cell surface. It binds FGFs, Wnts, and BMPs, influencing cell proliferation, migration, and axon guidance. Glypican 1 is highly expressed in brain, vasculature, and developing tissues, where it regulates synaptogenesis and angiogenesis. As a key co-receptor and extracellular scaffold, it is an important target for studies of neural development, cancer, and vascular biology.
