Target Information

Mouse Cytokeratin 19 is a type I cytokeratin predominantly expressed in simple and stratified epithelia. It forms intermediate filaments with type II cytokeratins, providing structural support and mechanical stability to epithelial cells. Cytokeratin 19 is a key marker for epithelial differentiation and is often used in histopathology to identify epithelial cells and diagnose epithelial malignancies. Its expression is also associated with tissue repair and regeneration processes. As a crucial component of the epithelial cytoskeleton, cytokeratin 19 is an important target for studying epithelial cell biology and related pathological conditions.
