Target Information
Mouse crystallin gamma S (CRYGS) is a 21 kDa monomeric βγ-crystallin whose four Greek-key motifs pack into a tight, symmetrical barrel, providing the highest refractive increment in the lens nucleus. A solvent-exposed 12-aa "KVE" loop (aa 75-86) between Greek keys 2 and 3 presents a β-hairpin unique among mouse γ-crystallins, preserved after denaturation and fixation. Antibodies to this loop detect native CRYGS in lens nuclear fibers, retinal ganglion cells and cerebellum, yielding crisp cytoplasmic staining and single-band blots without cross-reaction to other crystallins.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
