Target Information
Mouse cluster of differentiation 276 (CD276), also termed B7-H3, is a 316-residue type I transmembrane glycoprotein of the B7 superfamily. Its extracellular region contains tandem IgV-IgC domains that can be alternatively spliced into 2Ig or 4Ig isoforms, while a short charged cytoplasmic tail lacks classical signaling motifs. Constitutively expressed at low levels on antigen-presenting cells, osteoblasts and vascular endothelium, the protein is markedly up-regulated during immune activation and on select epithelia. Antibodies directed against mouse CD276 selectively bind native extracellular epitopes with minimal cross-reactivity to B7-1, B7-2 or other B7 family members, permitting accurate detection in lymphoid tissues, bone sections and cultured myeloid cells.
