Target Information
Mouse cluster of differentiation 244 (CD244) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the signaling lymphocyte activation molecule (SLAM) family, a key immune regulatory receptor. It features a conserved N-terminal Ig-like V-type domain, a membrane-proximal Ig-like C2-type domain, a single transmembrane segment, and a cytoplasmic tail with tyrosine-based signaling motifs critical for structural integrity and signal transduction. It localizes to the cell membranes of mouse natural killer cells, T lymphocytes, and monocytes, with negligible levels in B lymphocytes and non-immune tissues. The protein mediates cell-cell adhesion and immune activation modulation, with conserved motifs for ligand binding and downstream signaling. Mouse CD244 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct binding affinity differentiating it from CD48 and other SLAM family members.
