Specifications
Target Information
Mouse centromere protein H (CENP-H) is a 333-residue constitutive component of the inner kinetochore plate, spanning residues 1-40 for centromere targeting and 90-270 for CENP-C interaction. The protein adopts a predominantly α-helical fold, forms a stable heterotetramer with CENP-I/K/M/N, and localizes to active centromeres throughout the cell cycle. Constitutively expressed in dividing tissues, CENP-H is essential for kinetochore assembly and microtubule attachment. Antibodies raised against full-length or N-terminal peptide detect native CENP-H with negligible cross-reactivity to other CENP proteins, enabling precise immunoblot and immunofluorescence in mouse tissue homogenates and cultured cells.
