Target Information
Mouse caspase-3, a 32 kDa cytosolic cysteine protease, rests as an inactive pro-enzyme and is proteolytically converted into p17/p12 active fragments at the apoptotic commitment point. Once activated, it rapidly cleaves structural, repair and signaling proteins, orchestrating membrane blebbing, chromatin condensation and DNA fragmentation. Its transient presence in both cytoplasm and nucleus, alongside released cleavage products in blood, enables sensitive detection of programmed cell death by Western blot, immunohistochemistry and fluorogenic activity assays across embryonic development, immune remodeling, neurodegeneration and tumor response.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
