Target Information

Mouse carbonyl reductase 1 (CBR1) is a cytoplasmic short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase with a conserved NADPH-binding motif and a well-defined substrate pocket. It is broadly expressed in multiple tissues and resides mainly in the cytoplasm of hepatic, renal and epithelial cells. The protein exhibits a stable α/β tertiary structure essential for cofactor association and molecular recognition. Its unique catalytic domain and binding characteristics differentiate it from other oxidoreductases in the same protein family.
