Target Information

Mouse C-type lectin domain family 13 member A (CLEC13A) is a 38 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein whose single C-terminal carbohydrate-recognition domain binds terminal galactose in a Ca²⁺-dependent clasp. A solvent-exposed 14-residue "GPE" loop (aa 180-193) interrupts the α2 helix, creating a conformational epitope unique among CLEC subtypes. Polyclonal antibodies targeting this loop trace native CLEC13A in splenic metallophilic macrophages, lymph node subcapsular sinus, and bone-marrow stroma, yielding crisp membrane rings and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to CLEC4 or CLEC2 family members.
