Target Information
Mouse brain finger protein (BFP, ZNF165) is a 58-kDa zinc finger transcription factor predominantly expressed in mouse brain tissues-with high levels in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and cerebellum. It regulates gene expression via DNA-binding domains, participating in neural development, synaptic plasticity, and neuronal survival. It also modulates signaling pathways related to cell cycle control and stress responses in neural cells. Beyond brain physiology, it exhibits limited expression in other mouse tissues. As a key mediator of neural function and development, mouse BFP is a critical target for studying neurodevelopmental disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, and brain-specific pathological mechanisms.
