Specifications
Target Information
Mouse B-lymphocyte activation antigen B7-1 (CD80) is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily, a key immune co-stimulatory molecule. It features a conserved N-terminal V-type Ig-like domain, a C-type Ig-like domain, a single transmembrane segment, and a short cytoplasmic tail critical for structural integrity and signal transduction. It localizes to the cell membranes of mouse antigen-presenting cells including dendritic cells, B lymphocytes and activated macrophages, with negligible levels in resting immune cells and non-immune tissues. The protein mediates T-cell co-stimulation and immune response modulation, with conserved motifs for receptor binding. Mouse CD80 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct binding affinity differentiating it from CD86 and other B7 family members.
