Target Information

Mouse ABCA5 is a plasma membrane integral transporter with conserved ATP-binding and lipid-interacting domains that maintain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It shows moderate expression across multiple epithelial and mesenchymal cell populations and forms oligomeric complexes embedded within cell lipid bilayers. Its large multi-spanning lipid transport architecture and broad tissue distribution distinguish it from soluble secreted cytokines, cytoplasmic signaling adaptors and nuclear transcription factors with simplified single-domain assemblies restricted to narrow specialized cell subgroups.
