Target Information
Mouse SCNN1A is a multi-span transmembrane ion channel subunit containing conserved extracellular ligand-binding and pore-forming domains that retain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It distributes on apical membranes of epithelial cell populations in renal and mucosal tissues. Its membrane-embedded multi-domain ion transport structure and epithelium-restricted expression differentiate it from soluble secreted cytokines, cytoplasmic scaffolding adaptors and chromatin-interacting nuclear transcriptional regulators with simplified single-domain assemblies and universal expression across non-epithelial somatic tissues.
