Target Information
Mouse Alpha-1-Acid Glycoprotein (A1AG) is an acute-phase protein primarily synthesized by hepatocytes and is highly glycosylated, with a pI of 2.7-3.2 due to the presence of sialic acids. It functions as a transport protein in the bloodstream, binding various ligands and synthetic drugs within its beta-barrel domain. A1AG is involved in immune modulation, suppressing T-cell proliferation and inhibiting neutrophil activation. Its expression is induced by glucocorticoids, IL-1, and IL-6.
