Target Information

Mouse adenylate cyclase 9 (ADCY9) is a transmembrane enzyme encoded by the Adcy9 gene in Mus musculus, mapped to chromosome 1. It belongs to the adenylate cyclase family, featuring conserved 12 transmembrane segments, two cytoplasmic catalytic domains and regulatory binding sites critical for enzymatic activity. It localizes to cell membrane, with tissue-specific expression in mouse heart, brain and smooth muscle, with minimal levels in liver and kidney. The protein mediates cyclic AMP synthesis, with conserved motifs for signal regulation and conformational stability. Mouse ADCY9 shares core functional domains with mammalian orthologs, and has distinct regulatory characteristics differentiating it from ADCY1 and other family members.
