Guinea Pig APOC2 is a small secreted apolipoprotein with conserved lipid-binding domains that sustain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It associates with circulating lipoprotein particles generated by hepatic and intestinal cell populations. Its soluble lipid-interacting architecture and plasma-enriched distribution differentiate it from transmembrane receptors, cytoplasmic scaffolding adaptors and chromatin-interacting nuclear transcriptional regulators with simplified single-domain assemblies and tissue-limited expression profiles in non-circulating somatic tissues.
