Diacylglycerol is a 356-Da neutral lipid whose sn-1,2-diacyl-glycerol backbone forms a stable hapten; a solvent-exposed 6-aa "KVE" motif (1,2-dioleoyl-glycerol) linked to carrier presents a fixation-stable epitope unique among lipids. Antibodies to this conjugate detect DAG in membrane extracts, hepatic cytosol and cell culture, yielding crisp membrane staining and single-band blots without cross-reaction to triacylglycerol or phosphatidic acid.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
