Chicken HIST2H3A is a core nuclear histone protein equipped with conserved histone fold domains that maintain stable protein conformation under physiological conditions. It concentrates in nuclear chromatin of proliferating cell populations and forms fundamental nucleosome building blocks. Its chromatin-associating multi-domain structure and ubiquitous cellular expression differentiate it from transmembrane surface receptors, soluble secreted cytokines and cytoplasmic scaffold adaptors with simplified single-domain assemblies and tissue-limited expression patterns.
