Target Information
Canine Macrophage Inflammatory Protein 1 Alpha (MIP1a) is a chemokine produced by macrophages and other immune cells in dogs. It plays a critical role in immune responses by attracting leukocytes to sites of inflammation. MIP1a binds to the CCR5 receptor on immune cells, promoting their migration and activation. This chemokine is involved in various inflammatory processes and has been implicated in the pathogenesis of certain diseases. MIP1a also plays a role in the regulation of immune cell subsets and the maintenance of immune homeostasis.
