Target Information
Canine Interleukin12α (IL12A) is a subunit of the IL-12 cytokine, which is a key regulator of immune responses in dogs. IL-12 is a heterodimer composed of the IL-12α (p35) and IL-12β (p40) subunits, and it plays a crucial role in promoting Th1 cell differentiation and enhancing the activity of natural killer cells. In dogs, IL-12α is expressed by antigen-presenting cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, and it is involved in the regulation of cell-mediated immunity. This cytokine has been shown to have immunostimulatory effects, including the induction of IFNg production and the enhancement of antitumor immune responses.
