Target Information

Canine EGF is a small secreted polypeptide containing multiple conserved cysteine-rich EGF structural repeats. It maintains stable compact folding and intact receptor-interacting motifs under physiological environments, freely distributed within epithelial secretions and interstitial fluid. Its soluble extracellular peptide conformation and distinctive EGF repeat architecture separate it from multi-spanning membrane transporters, cytoplasmic catalytic enzymes and intranuclear transcriptional regulators that carry complex domain assemblies and fixed subcellular localization profiles.
