Target Information

Bovine RBP1 is a small cytoplasmic lipid-binding protein characterized by a conserved lipocalin beta-barrel structure with a central ligand pocket. It maintains stable compact folding and intact retinol-interacting domains under physiological conditions, broadly distributed inside parenchymal cell cytoplasm across multiple tissue types. Its strictly intracellular soluble form and canonical lipocalin fold distinguish it from membrane-anchored receptors, secreted circulating transport proteins and intranuclear transcription factors that carry unrelated domain architectures and separate subcellular distribution patterns.
