Target Information

Bovine Monocyte Chemotactic Protein 2 (MCP2), also known as CCL8, is a chemokine that plays a critical role in immune responses. It binds to the CCR2 and CCR5 receptors, promoting the migration of monocytes, macrophages, and eosinophils to sites of inflammation. MCP2 is involved in various inflammatory processes, including those associated with bacterial infections and immune-mediated diseases. In bovine models, MCP2 is essential for mediating monocyte chemotaxis and is implicated in the pathogenesis of inflammatory conditions.
