Target Information
Bovine hemoglobin beta is a 16 kDa globin whose eight α-helices cradle a central heme, coordinating oxygen via proximal His-F8 and distal His-E7. A solvent-exposed 14-aa "KVE" loop (aa 36-49) between helices C and E folds into a β-turn unique among bovine globin chains, presenting a conformational epitope preserved after oxygenation and fixation. Antibodies targeting this loop trace native HBB in erythrocyte cytosol, bone-marrow reticulocytes, and pulmonary capillaries, delivering crisp cytoplasmic staining and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to hemoglobin alpha or fetal globins.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
