Target Information

Bovine Fas-Related Apoptosis (FAS) is a cell surface receptor involved in the regulation of apoptosis. It belongs to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and is expressed on various cell types. FAS interacts with its ligand (FASL), triggering the extrinsic apoptotic pathway through the recruitment of caspase-8 and subsequent activation of downstream caspases. This receptor plays a crucial role in maintaining immune homeostasis by inducing programmed cell death in response to immune activation and tissue damage.
