Target Information
Bovine alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (a1AGP) is a plasma protein and a member of the lipocalin family, with a molecular weight of approximately 42-45 kDa. It is an acute phase protein synthesized primarily in the liver and is known for its immunomodulatory functions, including the ability to bind and transport small hydrophobic molecules. a1AGP also plays a role in modulating immune responses, such as inhibiting the chemotaxis of bovine monocytes and neutrophils. Its high sialic acid content contributes to its stability and biological activity.
