Pseudomonas is a genus of Gram-negative bacteria within the family Pseudomonadaceae, part of the class Gammaproteobacteria. Occasionally, Pseudomonas can cause skin infections in dogs and cats. Among bacterial diseases, the Pseudomonas species is considered one of the most virulent pathogens affecting fish, often resulting in ulcerative syndrome.
