Target Information
Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (TREM-1) is an immunoreceptor primarily found on the surface of myeloid cells, including neutrophils, monocytes/macrophages, and endothelial cells. Triggering Receptor Expressed on Myeloid Cells 1 is encoded by the TREM1 gene in pigs. It is a member of triggering receptors expressed on myeloid cells (TREM), which are a family of activating receptors expressed on neutrophils and monocytes. Research has shown that bacterial infection induces TREM-1 expression.
