Target Information
Translationally-Controlled Tumor Protein is encoded by the TPT1 gene in pigs. It plays essential roles in growth, stress response, and survival. The porcine TPT1 gene is located on porcine chromosome 11, region p11. Research has shown that TPT1 mRNA is ubiquitously expressed in normal porcine tissues and cells, with higher expression in spleen, lymph nodes and lung, and lower expression in skin and heart.
