Target Information

DNA Topoisomerase 2-Alpha is encoded by the TOP2A gene in pigs. TOP2A is an essential nuclear enzyme that controls and alters the topological states of DNA during processes like transcription, chromosome condensation, and chromatid separation. It has been reported to play a critical role in several cancers. TOP2A may function as a critical activator of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway in glioma, promoting cell growth, migration and invasion.

Target/Biomarker Porcine TOP2A
Target Synonym DNA topoisomerase 2-alpha; DNA topoisomerase II; alpha isozyme; TOP2A; 5.99.1.3
Gene ID 396917
UniProt ID O46374
